Welcome to South Shields brand new performing arts academy S.A.S.S
We at Suxess Academy of South Shields (SASS) aim to provide children from Ages 2 – 16 with industry level training in dance styles such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Commercial. As well as Musical Theatre classes in Acting, Acting through song and vocal training to help your little ones gain the knowledge and experience needed to succeed in the professional industry.
With two professional productions produced a year within the school, and the possibility to be in a professional local pantomine once a year, we offer the highest form of performance based work for your children to get involved in and gain real working experience in a professional environment.
Our teachers are from the professional industry themselves, and can pass down their knowledge and experience to help your children succeed in a career they are passionate about, but also learn useful life skills such as confidence, communication, community and most importantly meet other children like themselves to create long lasting friendships.
With the support of the South Shields FC Foundation, we believe we can achieve the most out of your children and give them opportunities they may not find elsewhere. We are dedicated to supporting your children to give them the best possible start in their careers as performers, and we hope to watch them flourish into young industry professionals.
OUR CLASSES
BALLET
Classical ballet taught in both Russian and French styles to achieve the broadest variety seen in the industry today. These classes come in baby, beginner, intermediate and advanced.
TAP
Rythym and musicality is essential in any dance style but with the help of our tap classes your child can achieve the most out of their artistry and ability in dance. These classes come in baby, beginner, intermediate and advanced.
JAZZ TECHNIQUE
Jazz dance and Jazz technique can be found in many jobs within the industry, but most populary used in Musical Theatre and Cruise Ships. At SASS we use this knowledge to give your child the greatest variety of Jazz by strengthing and lengthening your childs muscles to help them become strong and flexible dancers. These classes are available in Jazz Dance and Jazz Technique (Technique advised to all ages).
COMMERCIAL
With its fun style and current popularity in the music buisness, commercial dance is a must for all ages. Through commerical dance your child can find their own indipendent style and artistic flair, which will carry with them into auditons and their confidence as performers. These classes are available as Intro to commercial and performance commercial.
SINGING
Vocal technique and esemble prep is a must for any budding artist. Through our singing programme we not only cover the importance of being a well rounded individual artist but working within a group, whether that be in the theatre or in a recording booth. We offer stage 1 and stage 2 singing classes.
ACTING
our Acting programme covers a wide range of styles necessary in the industry. From traditional plays to TV/Film and musical theatre, your child can achieve the most with their passion for acting. We offer stage 1 and stage 2 acting classes.
OUR TEAM
Meet the extraordinary faculty behind SASS. With over 30 years of joint experience in the performance industry, our teachers are dedicated to giving your child the highest form of education to further a successful career in the arts. Whilst allowing your child to build friendships and have a lot of fun too!
